
Q. How do I add my conference, event or club dues to the WGA store?

Q. Who can list an item on the WGA Store?
A. Only organizations that are directly affiliated with the WGA can list an item on the WGA Store. Our agreement with Paymentech (our transaction processing vendor) prohibits us from deposits or attempts to deposit sales between cardmembers and any business other than the WGA.
Q. Can I sell memberships and event tickets on the WGA Store?
A. Yes, provided the item cost is equal to or greater than $10. Zero-cost items may also be listed on the WGA Store, in which case the WGA Store acts as a sign-up list.
Please note that a 4% processing fee is charged on all transactions by our transaction processing vendor. In addition, items must be sold for identical prices online and offline.
Q. Can I sell merchandise on the WGA Store?
A. Due to the complexity of the Pennsylvania Tax Laws, the answer is not clear cut. Each request will be evaluated on a case by case basis with the help of our accountants, who will apply the following tests:
• Is the item subject to sales tax?
• Is the item subject to unrelated business income tax?
• Does the sale support the primary purpose of the WGA which is educational and charitable in nature?
The second question is the more critical of the two: if the taxing authorities determine that unrelated business sales comprise too much of the WGA Store activities then we may jeopardize our tax-exempt status.
Please bear in mind that this required coordination will lengthen the turnaround time. We encourage your requests and appreciate your patience.
Q. How much does it cost to have my item listed on the WGA Store?
A. Currently, the WGA Store collects 4% of store revenues to cover all transaction fees which include Yahoo! Store fees and credit card fees. For example, if you charge $10 for your event, $10 will be charged to the user's credit card but only $9.60 will be deposited into your club's WGA account.
Note, however, that contract terms prohibit items on the WGA Store from being sold at a higher price than off-line (i.e., you cannot increase your on-line price by 4%). Contract obligations aside, the convenience of online purchasing should raise sales far in excess of this small service fee.
Q. How long does it take to get an item listed on the WGA Store?
A. For non-merchandise requests (e.g. club memberships, conference dues) please allow at least 72 hours for your item to be listed on the WGA Store.
Merchandise requests will need, at a minimum, one week to process. Our advice is to plan early and please be patient. Given the complexity of these requests, the WGA will be soliciting advice from our accountants and this may take a week or more. In addition, please be prepared to answer any follow-up questions from the WGA regarding your request.
Q. How do I see who has made club/conference purchases?
A. To see your club's orders, go to the Order Administration page at http://wga.wharton.upenn.edu/wgastore/. Click on the 'View Orders' link. Please contact support@wgastore.com if your club or conference is not yet listed.
Q. I can’t remember my password to the Order Administration page.
A. If you do not know your user name and password, please send an email to support@wgastore.com indicating your club and/or event.
Q. I am viewing the Order Administration page and I do not see the information collected from the drop down menus.
A. Currently, this information is not available from the Order Administration page but we are working to address this. To view this information, send an email to support@wgastore.com and ask for a report to be run for your club.
